TSR: What year did you start your Real Estate agency, Flo? Flo Watson: 2001 TSR: What was it that made you want to start your own agency? Flo Watson: My close friends who were in real estate already ….. after working with me knew instantly that I had the skills to run my real estate business successfully as a business. Plus, I have a heart and passion to help people if they need extra help with customer service items, which makes my knack to be a real estate agent right on key. TSR: What was the toughest thing you went through when opening? Flo Watson: It's a sink or swim business to begin in real estate. Unless you have someone to really be there for you --- you will not be successful. Luckily I learned from early mistakes after a couple of closings how to do a great job for my clients. TSR: If you had to start over from day 1 what would you have done differently? Flo Watson: Nothing…Learning the hard way has taught me that working for what I want is worth it.  TSR: What is the toughest part about having a Real Estate business in 2017?
Flo Watson: Competing with 699 other real estate agents in Spartanburg County. Seems like many folks have come into the real estate business this year to make a “Buck”. They will probably not last long. They come and go. It takes a special person with all of the skills to make it in this business. TSR: If a customer was to choose between your business and 3 others just like it, why would you suggest they at least give you a try first? Flo Watson: I really care!!! I'm not just in “it” for the buck!! TSR: What is the number 1 way you currently bring in new customers? Flo Watson: Referrals from my past clients. The only way to stay in business. TSR: Has the Internet played a big role in your business as it has become more prevalent? Flo Watson: Yes the internet has played a huge role. I do get new clients from folks seeing my reviews from my past clients and it really helps. That is the way of advertising currently. TSR: If you had to look 6 months to a year into the future where would you like to see your business be? Flo Watson: Maybe add a buyers' agent. I am a type A personality and want full control of my business. So it is so hard to depend on someone else to help me with my business. TSR: What areas do you serve? Flo Watson: I serve all of Spartanburg County. TSR: Looking back, what is your WHY? Why become a business owner instead of working for somebody else? Flo Watson: I am my own boss!!!
